Intuition vs Anxiety: How to Tell the Difference
One of the most common questions people ask while healing, growing, or reconnecting with themselves is:
“How do I know if it’s intuition… or anxiety?”
This is a question I once asked a spiritual mentor, too. And her response has stuck with me for nearly a decade. She said. “Intuition whispers, it’s quite, gentle subtle and brief….” where as “anxiety is loud, relentless” and causes spiraling thoughts.
This can feel incredibly confusing when the nervous system has spent years in stress, hypervigilance, overthinking, survival mode, or emotional dysregulation.
Because when the body does not feel safe, fear and intuition can become difficult to separate.
This is where somatic awareness becomes powerful.
Intuition and Anxiety Often Feel Different in the Body
Many people try to figure out intuition mentally.
But intuition is often felt through the body first.
Anxiety and trauma responses also live in the body — which is why learning nervous system awareness matters so deeply.
While everyone experiences this differently, intuition often feels:
grounded
clear
calm
steady
simple
quiet
expansive
neutral
Even when intuition is guiding you toward something uncomfortable, it often carries a sense of inner knowing underneath it.
Anxiety, on the other hand, often feels:
urgent
spiraling
fear-based
obsessive
catastrophic
mentally loud
overwhelming
contracted
The nervous system may feel activated, unsafe, or hyper-alert.
Trauma Responses Can Mimic Intuition
Many people who have experienced chronic stress, emotional invalidation, trauma, burnout, or survival-based environments learned to stay highly alert to danger.
This can create:
hypervigilance
overanalyzing
people pleasing
fear-based anticipation
nervous system dysregulation
difficulty trusting oneself
Sometimes what feels like intuition is actually the nervous system trying to predict or control outcomes to stay safe.
This does not mean your body is wrong.
It means your nervous system may still be operating from protection.
Intuition Usually Does Not Need to Prove Itself
One major difference between intuition and anxiety is that anxiety often seeks certainty.
It wants guarantees.
Control.
Reassurance.
Proof.
Intuition often feels quieter.
It may simply say:
“This is not aligned.”
“This feels right.”
“Something feels off.”
“This is the next step.”
Without needing endless mental justification.
The Body Holds Wisdom
The body constantly communicates through:
sensations
tension
contraction
openness
heaviness
calmness
activation
emotion
energy shifts
The fascia is an information network system within the body that often signals pain, tension or sensations of heaviness. When in reality this is information for the body to release something that’s being held on to within.
Somatic healing helps strengthen the ability to notice these signals without immediately overriding or intellectualizing them.
This is one reason embodiment work can deepen self-trust.
Because you begin learning the language of your own nervous system.
Signs You May Be Operating From Anxiety Rather Than Intuition
You may be in anxiety or nervous system activation if you notice:
obsessive thinking
catastrophizing
panic
urgency
needing immediate answers
fear-based spirals
constant reassurance seeking
inability to settle
mental overwhelm
physical tension
The nervous system often feels dysregulated and unsafe.
Signs You May Be Experiencing Intuition
Intuition may feel like:
calm clarity
a grounded knowing
body resonance
subtle inner truth
steadiness
peaceful certainty
gentle nudges
emotional neutrality
expanded energy
Even when the decision itself feels vulnerable.
Somatic Healing Supports Self-Trust
When the nervous system begins regulating more consistently, many people notice:
clearer intuition
deeper self-trust
improved discernment
less fear-based decision making
stronger embodiment
emotional clarity
Because the body is no longer operating in constant survival mode.
You Do Not Need to Force Clarity
Many people try to think their way into certainty.
But often clarity comes through slowing down enough to actually hear yourself.
To feel yourself.
To reconnect to the wisdom already within the body.
This is the deeper work of embodiment and nervous system healing.

7 Signs You’re Disconnected From Your Body
Many people move through life deeply disconnected from their bodies without even realizing it.
In a culture that rewards productivity, achievement, performance, and constant stimulation, it becomes easy to live primarily in the mind while slowly losing connection to the body’s signals, emotions, needs, and intuition.
This disconnect is often normalized.
Especially among high achievers, entrepreneurs, caregivers, leaders, and people who have spent years operating in survival mode.
But eventually the body begins asking for attention.
Sometimes quietly. Sometimes loudly.
And often what people are actually experiencing is nervous system dysregulation and mind-body disconnection.
What Does It Mean to Be Disconnected From Your Body?
Being disconnected from your body can look like:
overriding exhaustion
struggling to identify emotions
feeling numb or shut down
constantly living in your head
difficulty resting
chronic stress
ignoring physical needs
difficulty feeling present
disconnecting from intuition
operating on autopilot
This disconnection is not a personal failure.
For many people, it is a learned survival response.
The nervous system adapts to stress, trauma, overwhelm, emotional suppression, over-functioning, or environments where it did not feel safe to fully feel, express, or be present.
Somatic healing helps restore that connection.
1. You Constantly Override Your Exhaustion
One of the most common signs of nervous system imbalance is pushing through exhaustion repeatedly.
You may:
ignore fatigue
overwork
skip rest
stay constantly busy
struggle to slow down
feel guilty relaxing
Over time, the body learns that productivity is prioritized over wellbeing.
Eventually this can lead to burnout, chronic stress, emotional dysregulation, and physical symptoms.
2. You Struggle to Identify What You Feel
Many people who are disconnected from their bodies have difficulty recognizing emotions in real time.
Instead of feeling emotions fully, they may:
intellectualize everything
stay “fine”
suppress emotions
avoid vulnerability
disconnect from discomfort
Somatic work helps people reconnect to emotional awareness through the body rather than only analyzing experiences mentally.
3. You Feel Numb or Emotionally Flat
Emotional numbness is often misunderstood.
Sometimes numbness is not the absence of emotion —
it is the nervous system protecting itself from overwhelm.
This can show up as:
disconnection
apathy
lack of joy
difficulty accessing pleasure
feeling emotionally distant
difficulty crying or expressing emotions
The body may be conserving energy or protecting against emotional overload.
4. You Live Almost Entirely in Your Head
If you constantly:
overthink
analyze
anticipate
worry
mentally rehearse
stay in planning mode
…you may be disconnected from embodied presence.
Many people learned early that thinking created safety.
But true embodiment also requires connection to sensation, emotion, intuition, and the body’s cues.
5. Rest Feels Uncomfortable or Unsafe
For many people, slowing down triggers anxiety rather than relaxation.
You may notice:
guilt while resting
difficulty being still
needing constant stimulation
racing thoughts during downtime
trouble sleeping despite exhaustion
This often points toward a nervous system that has adapted to chronic activation or survival mode.
6. You Ignore Physical Needs and Signals
The body communicates constantly.
But many people have learned to override:
hunger
thirst
exhaustion
tension
emotional stress
overstimulation
pain
boundaries
Disconnection often happens gradually over time.
Somatic awareness helps rebuild trust with the body again.
7. You Feel Disconnected From Your Intuition
Intuition often becomes harder to access when the nervous system is overwhelmed or disconnected.
You may:
second guess yourself
struggle making decisions
seek constant external validation
feel disconnected from your truth
ignore inner knowing
Reconnecting to the body often strengthens self-trust and intuitive awareness because the body is no longer being constantly overridden.
Somatic Healing Helps You Reconnect to Yourself
Somatic healing supports nervous system regulation and mind-body connection through practices that bring awareness back into the body.
This may include:
grounding
breathwork
movement
sound healing
mindfulness
nervous system regulation
emotional processing
somatic exercises
parts work
embodiment practices
Healing is not about becoming perfect.
It is about learning how to feel safe enough to fully reconnect with yourself again.
You Were Never Meant to Live Disconnected From Yourself
Many people spend years building successful lives while feeling internally disconnected, exhausted, anxious, or emotionally numb.
But there is another way. One where success, healing, authenticity, and embodiment can coexist.
One where the body is no longer ignored in the process.
If you are exploring nervous system healing, embodiment, somatic mentorship, or deeper self-trust work, you can learn more about my mentorship offerings here.
Gemini Season and Nervous System Overstimulation: How to Stay Grounded
Gemini season has a reputation for movement.
More conversations.
More ideas.
More stimulation.
More social energy.
More mental activity.
And while that can feel exciting, creative, and expansive…it can also feel deeply dysregulating for the nervous system, especially for highly sensitive people, entrepreneurs, creatives, or anyone already carrying chronic stress.
Every year during Gemini season, I notice more people describing themselves as:
mentally scattered
overstimulated
anxious or restless
struggling to focus
exhausted but unable to slow down
craving clarity while consuming more information than ever
From a somatic perspective, this makes a lot of sense.
Gemini is an air sign connected to communication, information processing, thinking, learning, movement, duality, and mental energy. When we combine that energetic atmosphere with modern life — constant notifications, social media, high-performance culture, endless content consumption, and nervous system overload — many people find themselves unintentionally living almost entirely “in their head.”
The body, however, has limits and when the nervous system becomes overstimulated, the symptoms often become impossible to ignore.
Astrology and the Nervous System
Astrology can be an incredibly useful framework for self-awareness.
Not because astrology controls you, but because it can help illuminate patterns, emotional themes, energetic tendencies, and collective rhythms you may already be experiencing.
Gemini season energy often amplifies:
mental stimulation
rapid thinking
multitasking
communication overload
indecision
comparison
social activity
information consumption
For some people, this feels energizing.
For others, especially those already navigating nervous system dysregulation, burnout, anxiety, or chronic overwhelm, it can feel like the volume of life suddenly got turned all the way up.
This is where nervous system regulation becomes essential.
Because more information does not always create more clarity.
Sometimes clarity comes from slowing down long enough to actually hear yourself again.
Signs Your Nervous System May Be Overstimulated During Gemini Season
Nervous system overstimulation can show up physically, emotionally, mentally, and energetically.
Some common overstimulation symptoms include:
racing thoughts
difficulty focusing
increased anxiety
insomnia or disrupted sleep
feeling emotionally reactive
irritability
brain fog
doom scrolling or compulsive social media use
difficulty making decisions
chronic tension in the body
feeling disconnected from yourself
exhaustion paired with restlessness
heightened sensitivity to noise, crowds, or communication
Many high performers normalize these symptoms because they have spent years functioning in survival mode.
But constantly overriding your body’s signals is not sustainable.
The nervous system was never designed to process the amount of stimulation most people consume daily.
And Gemini season can amplify what is already underneath the surface.
Why Grounding Practices Matter During Gemini Season
When mental energy increases, grounding becomes even more important.
Grounding practices help bring awareness back into the body instead of staying trapped in loops of overthinking, hypervigilance, or constant stimulation.
This is one reason I often tell clients that nervous system regulation is not about becoming less ambitious or less productive.
It is about increasing your capacity to hold life without abandoning yourself in the process.
Grounding helps create:
greater emotional regulation
clearer decision-making
reduced anxiety
increased presence
deeper self-trust
improved focus
more sustainable energy
And often, the practices that support regulation are far simpler than people expect.
Grounding Practices for Nervous System Regulation During Gemini Season
What Can You Pull Back on Before Adding More
One of the most overlooked forms of nervous system support is simply reducing stimulation.
Before consuming another podcast, course, opinion, or piece of content, ask yourself:
Do I actually need more information right now…or do I need integration?
Your nervous system needs space to process.
Not just constant input.
Get Into Your Body
Gemini season energy can pull people into excessive thinking.
Somatic practices help reconnect you to sensation, embodiment, and presence.
This might look like:
walking without your phone
yoga or intentional movement
breathwork
stretching
dancing
shaking or somatic release exercises
lying on the floor and focusing on your breath
placing a hand on your chest and noticing sensation
The goal is not perfection.
The goal is reconnection.
Support the Nervous System Through Simplicity
Overstimulated nervous systems often crave complexity while simultaneously being exhausted by it.
Sometimes regulation looks like:
fewer tabs open
fewer commitments
fewer notifications
slower mornings
more hydration
eating consistently
spending time outside
resting before burnout hits
Simple practices repeated consistently can create profound shifts over time.
You Do Not Need to Match the Pace of Everything Around You
One of the biggest lessons Gemini season can offer is discernment.
Just because everything is moving quickly does not mean you have to.
Just because everyone else is consuming more, producing more, posting more, or saying more does not mean your nervous system wants that.
You are allowed to choose a different pace.
You are allowed to prioritize your wellbeing.
You are allowed to create success from regulation instead of survival mode.
Gemini season can bring creativity, insight, connection, expansion, and new ideas.
But if you are feeling overstimulated, anxious, disconnected, or mentally exhausted right now, your body may simply be asking for more grounding and less noise.
This is the work of nervous system awareness.
Learning how to listen to your body instead of constantly overriding it.
Learning how to create safety within yourself.
Learning how to honor your capacity.
Because sustainable growth is not built through chronic overstimulation.
It is built through regulation, embodiment, and self-trust.
If you are navigating burnout, nervous system dysregulation, or feeling disconnected from yourself and your life, you can learn more about my private mentorship and somatic support offerings here.
What Is Somatic Mentorship? And Why People Are Turning to It
I know from my own personal business and life experience that there comes a point where thinking harder no longer creates clarity.
Where more strategy no longer solves the deeper issue.
Where productivity tools, mindset work, and external success stop addressing what is actually happening underneath.
This is often where somatic work begins.
I hold the belief that our bodies hold immense wisdom and information just waiting to be tapped into.
Somatic mentorship is an approach that works with the body and nervous system — not just the mind.
Because healing, growth, leadership, intuition, and authentic expression do not happen solely cognitively.
They also live within the body.
What Does “Somatic” Mean?
The word soma means “the living body.”
Somatic work focuses on increasing awareness of:
nervous system patterns
emotions
physical sensations
stress responses
stored survival patterns
body awareness
safety and regulation
Rather than overriding the body, somatic practices help people reconnect with it.
For many high achievers, entrepreneurs, and leaders, this becomes transformational because so much of modern culture rewards disconnection from ourselves.
Pushing through.
Ignoring exhaustion.
Suppressing emotions.
Living in constant stress cycles.
Overriding intuition.
Eventually the body speaks louder.
Somatic Mentorship Is Not Just About Healing Trauma
While somatic work can support trauma healing, many people seek somatic mentorship because they want:
deeper self-trust
emotional regulation
nervous system support
authentic leadership
sustainable success
healthier relationships
intuition development
embodiment
clarity in business and life
This work is not about becoming perfect or peaceful all the time.
It is about increasing your capacity to stay connected to yourself.
Why Somatic Work Matters for Entrepreneurs and Leaders
Many entrepreneurs unknowingly build businesses from nervous system survival patterns.
This can look like:
overworking
difficulty resting
people pleasing
perfectionism
fear-based decision making
burnout cycles
hyper-independence
chronic urgency
inability to receive support
tying worth to productivity
From the outside, someone may appear highly successful while internally feeling disconnected, exhausted, anxious, or emotionally overwhelmed.
Somatic mentorship helps bring awareness to these patterns so new ways of operating can emerge.
Not through force —
but through embodiment.
The Connection Between the Nervous System and Business Growth
Your nervous system impacts:
decision making
creativity
visibility
leadership
communication
emotional resilience
capacity
relationships
receiving support
consistency
authenticity
If your system does not feel safe with expansion, visibility, rest, intimacy, or uncertainty, it can unconsciously create patterns that keep you stuck in familiar survival loops.
This is one reason nervous system work is becoming increasingly important in entrepreneurship and leadership spaces.
Because sustainable growth requires more than strategy alone.
It requires the body being able to safely hold what you are building.
What Happens Inside Somatic Mentorship?
Every mentor approaches this work differently, but somatic mentorship may include:
nervous system education
grounding practices
breathwork
embodiment exercises
movement
emotional processing
parts work
mindfulness
sound healing
somatic awareness
intuitive guidance
leadership support
authentic expression work
In my own work, I blend somatics, nervous system support, embodiment, intuitive guidance, sound, strategy, Human Design, astrology, and energetic awareness to support founders, creatives, and conscious leaders in building lives and businesses that feel aligned and sustainable.
Because often the goal is not simply external success.
It is creating a life that actually feels good to live.
Signs Somatic Mentorship May Support You
You may benefit from somatic mentorship if:
you feel disconnected from yourself
you constantly override your body
you struggle to slow down
your success no longer feels fulfilling
you feel emotionally overwhelmed
you want deeper self-trust
you are navigating burnout
you desire more authentic leadership
you feel stuck in survival mode
you want to feel safer being fully seen
You Do Not Need to Force Your Way Forward
Many people have spent years trying to think their way into healing, clarity, confidence, or expansion.
But transformation often happens when the body is finally included in the process.
When safety replaces force.
When embodiment replaces performance.
When self-trust replaces constant external validation.
This is the deeper work.

Featured in Voyage Miami Magazine: A Conversation on Business, Burnout, Healing & Embodiment
There are moments in life and business that feel especially meaningful because they reflect not just what you’ve built externally, but who you’ve become along the way.
I’m excited to share that I was recently featured in Voyage Miami Magazine in their Daily Inspiration series.
In the interview, I opened up about my entrepreneurial journey, the evolution from building a successful marketing agency into the work I do today, and the deeper healing and embodiment practices that transformed my relationship with business, success, intuition, and self.
For many years, I operated from over-functioning, achievement, and pushing through. Like so many high performers, I had learned how to create external success while becoming increasingly disconnected from my body, my intuition, and my authentic self.
What I’ve come to realize through somatic work, nervous system healing, meditation, sound healing, and deep inner work is that true success is not just about what we accomplish.
It’s about creating a life and business that actually feels good to live.
One rooted in authenticity. One supported by the nervous system. One aligned with who we truly are.
That journey has completely reshaped the work I now do with clients.
Today, I support founders, creatives, executives, and conscious leaders through a blend of somatic mentorship, nervous system regulation, energetics, intuitive guidance, and strategic business support. My work sits at the intersection of strategy, soma, and soul — helping people reconnect to themselves while building sustainable success that their bodies can actually hold.
This feature felt especially aligned because Voyage Miami highlights not only entrepreneurship and creativity, but also the human stories behind the work.
Stories of reinvention. Stories of healing. Stories of trusting yourself enough to evolve.
If you’ve ever found yourself questioning the path you’re on… Feeling disconnected despite external success… Or sensing that there may be a more aligned way to live, lead, and build — I think this conversation will resonate.

Thank you to the Voyage Miami team for the opportunity to share more of my story and the deeper mission behind this work.
And thank you to this community for being here — for your support and for reading!
How to Tune Into Your Body: Somatic Practices to Reconnect With Yourself
How to Tune Into Your Body With Somatic Practices
Many people move through life deeply disconnected from their bodies without even realizing it.
We live in a world that rewards productivity, overthinking, over-functioning, and constantly pushing through discomfort. Over time, many high achievers become incredibly skilled at overriding their body’s signals in order to perform, achieve, caretake, or survive.
The body says it’s exhausted. We push through.
The nervous system asks for rest. We call ourselves lazy.
Intuition whispers that something feels off. We rationalize it away.
Eventually, many people find themselves feeling anxious, numb, burnt out, overstimulated, emotionally reactive, disconnected, or unable to hear their own inner voice clearly anymore.
This is often where somatic work becomes transformational.
Somatic practices help you reconnect with the wisdom of your body so you can begin to feel, process, regulate, trust yourself, and move through life with greater awareness and authenticity.
Because healing is not only cognitive.
It’s physiological.
It’s energetic.
It’s embodied.
What Does It Mean to Tune Into Your Body?
Tuning into your body means learning how to notice and interpret the signals your nervous system and body are constantly sending you.
Your body communicates through:
Sensations
Emotions
Tension
Tightness
Fatigue
Breath patterns
Gut feelings
Energy levels
Heart rate changes
Muscle contraction
Nervous system activation
Feelings of expansion or constriction
Many people were never taught how to safely listen to these signals.
In fact, many people learned the opposite.
They learned to disconnect from discomfort.
To suppress emotions.
To abandon their needs.
To intellectualize their feelings.
To perform instead of feel.
Somatic practices help rebuild the bridge between the mind and body.
Why Somatic Practices Matter for Nervous System Regulation
Your nervous system plays a major role in how safe, grounded, connected, and emotionally regulated you feel.
When the nervous system becomes chronically dysregulated due to stress, trauma, overstimulation, burnout, or prolonged pressure, the body may begin to operate from survival states.
This can show up as:
Chronic anxiety
Overthinking
Emotional numbness
Hyper-independence
Difficulty resting
Digestive issues
Burnout
Chronic tension
Feeling disconnected from intuition
Difficulty being present
Constant fight-or-flight activation
Somatic healing practices help support nervous system regulation by bringing awareness back into the body.
The goal is not perfection.
The goal is increased capacity.
Capacity to feel.
Capacity to stay present.
Capacity to listen.
Capacity to move through life without constantly overriding yourself.
I’ve gathered a few of my go-to somatic practices to support the psychosomatic connection here…would love to know which one of these resonate for you….
10 Somatic Practices to Help You Tune Into Your Body
1. Body Awareness San
One of the simplest and most powerful somatic practices is a body scan.
A body scan helps you slow down long enough to notice what is happening internally.
Rather than immediately trying to fix, analyze, or change your experience, you simply observe.
I have a meditation that will walk you through this practice…you can purchase here. Or if you’d rather keep reading and walk through it on your own, here are some entry points….
Try asking yourself:
Where am I holding tension?
What sensations do I notice?
Does any area feel heavy, contracted, warm, numb, tight, or activated?
What happens when I breathe into that area?
This practice strengthens interoception, which is your ability to perceive internal body sensations.
The more connected you become to your body’s signals, the easier it becomes to recognize your needs, emotions, boundaries, and intuition.
2. Somatic Breathing Practices
Breath is one of the fastest ways to communicate safety to the nervous system.
When we are stressed or dysregulated, the breath often becomes shallow, tight, or constricted.
Conscious breathing practices can help shift the body out of survival mode and back into a more grounded state.
Simple practices include:
Extended exhales
Box breathing
Diaphragmatic breathing
Hand-on-heart breathing
Coherent breathing
One simple practice:
Inhale for 4 counts.
Exhale for 6 counts.
Repeat slowly for several minutes.
Longer exhales help activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which supports rest, digestion, and regulation.
3. Grounding Through the Senses
Grounding practices help bring awareness out of racing thoughts and back into the present moment.
One powerful somatic tool is using the senses.
Pause and notice:
5 things you can see
4 things you can touch
3 things you can hear
2 things you can smell
1 thing you can taste
This helps orient the nervous system toward the present environment rather than remaining trapped in stress loops, future fear, or hypervigilance.
Want more of this? Try this meditation here.
4. Shaking and Somatic Movement
The body is designed to move stress and activation.
Many animals naturally shake after stress responses in order to discharge excess survival energy from the nervous system.
Humans often suppress this instinct.
Gentle shaking, intuitive movement, stretching, walking, yoga, dance, or somatic movement practices can help release stored tension and reconnect you with your body.
The goal is not performance.
The goal is presence.
Ask yourself:
What does my body actually want right now?
You may be surprised how much wisdom emerges when movement becomes intuitive instead of performative.
5. Tracking Sensations
Somatic awareness often begins with learning how to notice sensation without judgment.
Instead of saying:
“I’m anxious.”
Try noticing:
What does anxiety feel like in my body?
Is it heat?
Tightness?
Tingling?
Constriction?
Pressure?
This practice helps separate the story from the physiological experience.
When we can stay present with sensation safely, emotions often begin to move through the body more naturally.
6. Resting Without Stimulation
Many people are constantly consuming.
Scrolling.
Listening.
Watching.
Distracting.
One deeply healing somatic practice is allowing yourself to simply be with yourself without constant stimulation.
Even five minutes of intentional stillness can reveal:
What emotions are beneath the surface
What your nervous system is carrying
What your intuition has been trying to communicate
Where you may be overriding your own needs
This can feel uncomfortable initially, especially for people whose nervous systems associate stillness with unsafety.
That discomfort does not mean you are failing.
It often means you are finally listening.
7. Hand-on-Body Regulation Practices
Physical touch can help create feelings of grounding and safety within the body.
Try placing one hand on your heart and one hand on your stomach.
Notice:
The warmth of your hands
The rise and fall of your breath
Your heartbeat
Areas of tension or softening
This simple practice can help regulate overwhelm and bring awareness back into the body during moments of stress or emotional activation.
8. Somatic Journaling
Somatic journaling is less about intellectual analysis and more about body awareness.
Instead of asking:
“What do I think?”
Try asking:
What am I feeling in my body right now?
Where do I feel expansion?
Where do I feel contraction?
What feels energizing?
What feels draining?
What does my body need today?
Or you could try this automatic writing exercise to see what moves through…
This practice strengthens self-awareness and helps reconnect you to your authentic internal experience.
9. Nature Connection
Spending time in nature can have profound effects on nervous system regulation.
Walking barefoot on grass, sitting near water, listening to birds, feeling sunlight on your skin, or slowing down outdoors can help the body shift out of chronic stress activation.
Nature naturally encourages presence.
The body often remembers how to exhale when we reconnect with environments that feel slower, safer, and more grounded.
10. Practicing Self-Compassion While Reconnecting
One of the most important parts of somatic healing is learning to approach yourself with compassion.
Many people become frustrated when they realize how disconnected they’ve been from their body.
But disconnection is often protective.
The nervous system adapts in order to survive environments, pressures, expectations, and experiences.
Somatic work is not about shaming yourself for coping.
It’s about creating enough safety to reconnect.
Gently.
Slowly.
With patience.
Why Intuition Often Gets Stronger Through Somatic Work
Many of my clients often notice that as they reconnect with their bodies, their intuition becomes clearer.
This is because intuition is often easier to access when the nervous system is regulated enough to hear it.
When the body is chronically stressed or dysregulated, survival responses can become louder than inner knowing.
Somatic practices help create more internal spaciousness.
You begin to notice:
What feels aligned
What feels draining
Which relationships feel safe
Which environments dysregulate you
What your body is trying to communicate
When you are abandoning yourself
What authenticity actually feels like inside your body
The body holds immense wisdom.
Learning to listen changes everything.
Tuning into your body is not about becoming perfect at self-awareness overnight.
It’s about rebuilding trust with yourself.
One breath.
One pause.
One moment of awareness at a time.
Somatic practices can help you reconnect with your nervous system, emotions, intuition, and authentic self in ways that cognitive insight alone often cannot.
Because healing is not only about understanding yourself intellectually.
It’s about learning how to safely exist within your body again.
And from that place, life, leadership, relationships, creativity, and business often begin to shift naturally.
If you’re exploring deeper nervous system healing, embodiment work, or somatic mentorship, you can learn more about my private mentorship and somatic support offerings here.
Why High Achievers Often Struggle to Feel Safe Resting
For many high achievers, rest doesn’t actually feel restful.
It feels uncomfortable.
Unsafe.
Unproductive.
Sometimes even anxiety-inducing.
And often, it has nothing to do with laziness, discipline, or motivation.
It has everything to do with the nervous system.
Many entrepreneurs, leaders, founders, creatives, and high-performers I work with have spent years operating in patterns of over-functioning, over-producing, hyper-independence, and chronic stress. Over time, the body adapts to that pace and begins to associate movement, productivity, urgency, and achievement with safety and worthiness.
So when the body finally slows down?
The nervous system can interpret rest as unfamiliar — and unfamiliar often feels unsafe.
The Nervous System Was Never Meant to Live in Constant Survival Mode
Many people normalize:
chronic stress
constant pressure
mental overload
difficulty relaxing
trouble sleeping
emotional numbness
burnout cycles
always needing to “do more”
But these are often signs of nervous system dysregulation.
When your body has been conditioned to stay alert, productive, or emotionally guarded for long periods of time, stillness can initially feel threatening.
This is one reason why so many people say:
“I finally have time to rest, but I can’t actually relax.”
The body has not yet learned that slowing down is safe.
Over-Functioning Is Often a Trauma Response
High achievement is not inherently unhealthy.
But for many people, overworking becomes a way to:
avoid feeling emotions
gain approval
create control
feel valuable
stay connected
avoid disappointment
stay ahead of perceived danger
The challenge is that eventually the nervous system begins operating from survival rather than true alignment.
You may appear successful externally while internally feeling:
exhausted
disconnected from yourself
emotionally overwhelmed
numb
anxious
unable to fully receive rest, intimacy, or joy
This is something I experienced personally in my own life and business.
For years, I built from achievement, performance, and pushing through. From the outside, things looked successful. But underneath, my nervous system was deeply dysregulated and disconnected from my body.
Somatic work helped me begin reconnecting to myself again.
Not through forcing.
Not through optimizing harder.
But through learning how to actually feel safe in my body.
Signs Your Nervous System May Not Feel Safe Resting
You may notice:
guilt when relaxing
needing to stay busy constantly
anxiety during downtime
difficulty sleeping despite exhaustion
constantly thinking about work
inability to fully unplug
irritability during stillness
trouble receiving support
feeling emotionally disconnected
rest that doesn’t actually feel restorative
These patterns are incredibly common among entrepreneurs and high achievers.
Especially for people who have built identities around being capable, productive, independent, or needed.
Somatic Healing Helps the Body Learn Safety Again
One of the biggest misconceptions about nervous system healing is that regulation means feeling peaceful all the time.
It doesn’t.
Regulation is about increasing your capacity to stay connected to yourself through life’s experiences.
Somatic work supports this by helping you reconnect with the body rather than continuing to override it.
This may look like:
breathwork
grounding practices
nervous system awareness
movement
sound healing
emotional processing
parts work
learning your body’s cues
practicing presence and embodiment
Over time, the body begins learning:
“I do not have to earn rest.”
“I am safe slowing down.”
“I can exist without constantly performing.”
True Success Should Feel Sustainable
Many people eventually reach a point where the old ways of operating stop working.
The pushing.
The forcing.
The constant striving.
Not because they are failing —
but because their system is asking for a new way.
A more embodied way.
A more authentic way.
A more sustainable way.
One where success no longer requires abandoning yourself in the process.

Somatic Mentorship: The Missing Link Between Business Success and Nervous System Alignment
If you’ve built success by pushing, performing, and figuring it out as you go… you’re not alone.
And at some point, that way of operating stops working.
Not because you’ve lost your edge—
but because your nervous system can no longer sustain the way you’ve been doing life and business.
This is where somatic mentorship becomes the bridge.
Not another strategy.
Not another mindset shift.
But a deeper recalibration of how you lead, decide, create, and live—from your body.
What Is Somatic Mentorship?
Somatic mentorship is a body-based approach to personal and professional growth.
Instead of only working at the level of thoughts or behaviors, it works directly with the nervous system—the place where patterns, stress responses, and emotional experiences actually live.
Research shows that somatic practices increase self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience by helping individuals tune into bodily sensations and shift internal patterns.
Because before your mind makes a decision…
your body has already responded.
Why Somatic Work Matters in Business
Most high-achieving entrepreneurs have learned how to override their bodies.
Push through fatigue.
Ignore intuition.
Stay in productivity—even when it costs them.
But your nervous system is the foundation of everything:
Your decision-making
Your leadership presence
Your capacity to hold growth
Studies show that nervous system regulation directly impacts clarity, communication, and performance under pressure.
When your system is dysregulated, you don’t just feel off—
you lead, sell, and show up differently.
5 Benefits of Somatic Mentorship for Business and Life
1. Regulated Nervous System = Clearer Decision-Making
Your body constantly scans for safety or threat before your mind catches up.
When you’re regulated, you:
Think more clearly
Make aligned decisions
Trust your intuition
Instead of reacting… you respond.
2. Breaks Cycles of Burnout and Overperformance
Somatic mentorship helps reset chronic stress patterns.
Research suggests somatic approaches can reduce anxiety, depression, and improve overall well-being.
This means:
Less burnout
More sustainable growth
Energy that actually supports your life
3. Builds Emotional Capacity (Not Just Strategy)
Most people try to grow their business without expanding their capacity to hold it.
Somatic work:
Increases emotional resilience
Expands your “window of tolerance”
Helps you stay grounded in high-pressure moments
This is what allows your next level to feel safe—not overwhelming.
4. Reconnects You to Your Intuition
Somatic mentorship brings you back into your body—
where your intuition actually lives.
Because intuition isn’t just a thought.
It’s a felt sense.
And when you’re disconnected from your body, you’re disconnected from your most powerful decision-making tool.
5. Aligns Your Business With Your Actual Energy
Instead of forcing strategies that don’t fit, somatic work helps you:
Understand your natural rhythms
Identify energy leaks
Build a business that feels as good as it looks
This is where alignment becomes practical—not just conceptual.
Somatic Mentorship vs Traditional Coaching
Traditional coaching often focuses on:
Mindset
Strategy
Goals
Somatic mentorship focuses on:
Nervous system regulation
Embodied patterns
How your body holds stress, success, and expansion
Building capacity
Because insight alone doesn’t create change.
Your nervous system has to feel safe enough to hold it.
Why This Work Changes Everything
Somatic mentorship doesn’t just help you “feel better.”
It changes how you:
Lead
Relate
Create
Show up in your life and business
It moves you from:
Force → flow
Burnout → capacity
Disconnection → embodiment
And from building a business that looks good…
to building one that actually feels good.

Why I Integrate Astrology, Human Design, and Somatics in Private Mentorship
After 17 years in business, I’ve learned something important: success is rarely about forcing yourself into someone else’s formula.
For years, many entrepreneurs are taught to pick one lane, follow one strategy, and stay consistent no matter what. But for many visionary, creative, and multi-dimensional people, that path can feel restrictive, draining, or disconnected from who they truly are.
I know this firsthand.
I’ve learned that I thrive in a multi-passionate entrepreneurial experience. I’m not meant to do just one thing. I also operate best when I’m willing to release what is no longer aligned, rather than gripping tightly to identities, offers, or strategies that have expired.
When I began exploring tools like Astrology and Human Design, so much of my life and business journey began to make sense.
As an Aries Sun and Manifesting Generator, I’m not afraid to go first. In fact, I often prefer it. I naturally generate ideas quickly, move fast, and enjoy building multiple things at once.
Understanding that didn’t box me in. It gave language to patterns I had already lived.
And when paired with Somatics, it became even more powerful.
What Are These Modalities?
Astrology
Astrology is the study of symbolic patterns based on planetary placements at the time of birth. While many people know only their sun sign, a full natal chart can offer much more nuance.
It can illuminate themes such as:
Natural strengths and leadership tendencies
Communication style
Relationship to structure and discipline
Emotional patterns
Timing cycles of growth, challenge, or reinvention
How someone tends to initiate, create, or sustain momentum
Used consciously, astrology can be a tool for reflection, timing, and self-awareness.
Human Design
Human Design is a modern self-inquiry system that blends multiple wisdom traditions and energetic frameworks. It offers insight into how someone may best use their energy, make decisions, and interact with the world.
Some of the most common areas it explores include:
Energy type and how you’re designed to work
Decision-making authority
Consistent strengths and sensitivities
Where conditioning may influence you
Sustainable rhythms for business and life
How to work with your energy instead of against it
For many entrepreneurs, Human Design can bring relief by validating that they are not “wrong” for needing a different pace or path.
Somatics
Somatics focuses on the body as a source of wisdom, healing, and truth.
While mindset work often focuses on thoughts, somatic work includes the nervous system, sensations, stored stress patterns, emotional responses, and embodied behavior.
This can help someone notice:
Why they overwork even when they know better
Why visibility feels unsafe
Why rest creates guilt
Why success still feels empty
Why old patterns repeat despite strategy
Because insight alone does not always create change. The body often needs to feel safe enough to live the new reality.
Why I Blend These Together
Each modality offers something valuable on its own.
Astrology can reveal tendencies and timing.
Human Design can offer energetic strategy and decision support.
Somatics helps integrate change into the body and nervous system.
Together, they create a fuller picture.
For example:
A client may know they are meant to lead—but their nervous system associates visibility with danger.
A client may have incredible creative energy—but keeps forcing themselves into rigid structures that drain them.
A client may be in a life chapter asking for reinvention—but continues clinging to outdated identities because it once created success.
This is where deep work happens.
Not in generic advice.
Not in copy-paste business strategies.
But in understanding the unique human behind the business.
How This Supports Business Growth
When clients understand themselves more deeply, they often begin to:
Make clearer decisions
Trust themselves more consistently
Stop comparing their path to others
Create offers that feel aligned
Build systems that honor their capacity
Increase visibility without constant burnout
Lead from authenticity rather than performance
Sometimes the next level is not about doing more.
It is about becoming more honest about what actually works for you.
My Approach in Private Mentorship
Inside my six-month private mentorship, we may explore:
Somatic practices for regulation and capacity
Nervous system support for growth seasons
Astrology chart insights and timing themes
Human Design for decision-making and workflow
Identity shifts and releasing outdated success patterns
Business strategy rooted in sustainability and truth
This work is personalized, intuitive, and practical.
Because the goal is not to become dependent on a modality.
The goal is to understand yourself so deeply that your business and life begin to feel like an extension of who you truly are.
Ready for a More Aligned Path?
If you’ve outgrown strategies that once worked and know there is a more authentic way forward, private mentorship may be the next step.
You do not need more noise.
You may need deeper self-understanding, nervous system support, and strategy that actually fits you.

Parts Work, Somatics & Integration: A Beginner’s Guide to Healing Through Internal Family Systems (IFS)
There was a time in my life where I thought healing meant becoming a better version of myself.
More disciplined.
More focused.
More “healed.”
But what I’ve come to understand—through my own journey and the work I do with clients—is this:
Healing isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about learning how to be with all the parts of you that already exist.
What Is Parts Work?
Parts Work, often associated with Internal Family Systems (IFS), is a therapeutic approach that understands the mind as made up of different “parts” of our inner self.
Each part holds:
emotions
beliefs
past experiences
protective roles
Common parts people experience include:
the inner critic
the perfectionist
the people-pleaser
the avoider
the overachiever
In parts work therapy, the goal isn’t to eliminate these parts— it’s to understand and integrate them.
These parts were created to protect you, especially during moments of stress or overwhelm.
What Is Somatic Healing?
Somatic healing focuses on the body as a gateway to emotional and psychological well-being.
Because your experiences don’t just live in your thoughts—
they live in your nervous system.
Somatic practices help regulate the nervous system by working with:
breath
movement
awareness
sensation
This is often referred to as nervous system regulation or somatic integration.
Parts Work + Somatics: Why This Combination Works
Traditional parts work often focuses on the mind.
Somatics brings the body into the process.
Together, they create deeper, more sustainable healing.
Because your parts aren’t just stories—
they are felt experiences.
They show up in the body as:
tightness in the chest
shallow breathing
tension in the jaw or shoulders
fatigue or shutdown
bursts of anxiety or urgency
When you combine Internal Family Systems (IFS) with somatic awareness, you can:
access parts more quickly
regulate emotional responses in real time
create safety in the body
integrate patterns at the nervous system level
My Personal Journey with Parts Work & Somatic Healing
After building and scaling a multi-six-figure marketing agency, I found myself burned out, disconnected, and stuck in patterns I couldn’t think my way out of.
From the outside, everything looked successful.
But internally, my nervous system told a different story.
There was a part of me that constantly pushed for more.
A part that didn’t feel safe slowing down.
A part that tied my worth to productivity.
And underneath that…
There were parts of me that needed rest, safety, and support.
It wasn’t until I began integrating somatic practices with parts work that things truly shifted.
Instead of overriding my patterns, I started listening.
Instead of forcing strategy, I focused on nervous system regulation.
Instead of asking, “How do I fix this?”
I asked, “What is this part of me trying to communicate?”
What Is Integration in Healing Work?
Integration is the process of bringing awareness, safety, and connection to all parts of yourself.
It means:
building a relationship with your internal system
increasing your emotional capacity
creating internal safety
Integration allows you to respond to life instead of reacting from old patterns.
Why Nervous System Healing Matters
Your nervous system impacts everything:
decision-making
relationships
business growth
creativity
energy levels
If your system is dysregulated, you may experience:
burnout
anxiety or overwhelm
inconsistency
difficulty resting
emotional reactivity
No strategy can override a dysregulated nervous system.
That’s why combining somatic healing with parts work (IFS) is so powerful—it supports both awareness and embodiment.
A Simple Somatic Parts Work Practice
Try this the next time you feel overwhelmed:
Pause and take a breath
Ask: What part of me is here right now?
Notice where you feel it in your body
Stay present with the sensation
Ask: What does this part need from me?
This is how you begin building self-awareness and emotional regulation.

The Hidden Energy Leaks Draining You (And How to Identify Them)
The Hidden Energy Leaks Draining You (That Have Nothing to Do With Time)
Energy is everything and it is often our clearest identifier of alignment. Yet we live in a society that rewards success, pushing and achievement - often pushing pass our internal signals to achieve more…do more.. be more.
This is great for achievement and yet it can leave you feeling more depleted, more run down, more stressed out. More drained.
Here’s the thing I’ve learned in my journey - we don’t always feel drained because we’re doing too much.
Sometimes, you’re drained because your energy is being pulled in directions you’re not even fully aware of.
And the hardest part?
These drains don’t show up clearly on your calendar.
They’re subtle.
They’re layered.
And over time, they quietly deplete your capacity.
What Are Energy Leaks?
When most people think about exhaustion, they think about workload.
Too many meetings.
Too many tasks.
Not enough time.
But energy doesn’t just get depleted through doing.
It also gets depleted through:
what you’re holding
what you’re thinking about
what you’re anticipating
what’s unresolved
what’s misaligned
Energy leaks are the places where your attention, emotional capacity, and nervous system are being pulled—often without your full awareness.
Some drains are obvious.
Overworking. Over-scheduling. Lack of rest.
But the ones that create the most long-term fatigue?
Are the invisible ones.
The ones you’ve normalized.
The ones that don’t feel urgent enough to question.
The ones your body has quietly adapted to carrying.
Common Hidden Energy Leaks
These are some of the most common patterns I see—especially with high-achieving women who are used to holding a lot.
1. Decision fatigue
You’re making decisions all day long.
Small ones. Big ones. Constant ones.
What to prioritize. What to respond to. What to say yes to.
Even if each decision feels minor, your nervous system is still processing it.
And over time, that constant micro-processing adds up.
It’s not just mental exhaustion—it’s energetic depletion.
2. Misaligned commitments
Saying yes to things that don’t fully feel aligned.
Out of obligation.
Out of habit.
Out of being “the reliable one.”
These aren’t always obvious no’s.
But your body often knows.
You might feel it as:
subtle resistance
heaviness
lack of enthusiasm
When your external actions don’t match your internal truth, your system has to work harder to sustain it.
That gap costs energy.
3. Emotional labor + holding space
Being the one people come to.
Holding space. Supporting. Listening.
This is beautiful—and it’s also energy-intensive.
Especially when there aren’t clear boundaries or intentional replenishment.
If you’re constantly attuned to others, without returning to yourself, your system stays outwardly focused.
And over time, that creates depletion that isn’t always immediately obvious.
4. Unspoken expectations
The things you feel responsible for that were never explicitly asked of you.
Managing how others feel.
Anticipating needs.
Trying to prevent discomfort or conflict.
This kind of internal pressure is quiet—but constant.
It lives in the background of your system, subtly pulling on your attention and energy.
And because it’s internal, it’s rarely questioned.
5. Digital overstimulation
Constant input.
Notifications. Messages. Content. Information.
Even in moments of “rest,” your mind is still engaged.
Scrolling doesn’t equal restoration.
Your nervous system doesn’t fully distinguish between physical and digital input—it still has to process what you’re consuming.
And when there’s no space for pause or integration, your system stays in a low-level state of activation.
Why These Go Unnoticed
Because they’re normal.
Not healthy—just normalized.
You’ve likely been operating this way for a long time.
Being capable.
Being responsive.
Being the one who handles it.
And at some point, this becomes part of your identity.
“I can hold it.”
“I’ll just take care of it.”
“It’s easier if I do it myself.”
So you don’t question it.
You adapt to it.
You build your life and your business around it.
Until your body starts to send signals that something isn’t sustainable.
But even then, it’s easy to miss—because nothing looks obviously “wrong.”
The Cost of Ignoring Energy Leaks
When these patterns go unaddressed, the impact builds over time.
Not always dramatically.
But consistently.
You might notice:
Chronic fatigue
A deeper depletion that doesn’t fully resolve with restLack of clarity
Decision-making feels harder. Priorities feel blurredFeeling scattered
Your attention is pulled in multiple directions without a sense of groundingReduced capacity
Things that once felt easy now feel heavier or more effortful
This isn’t a discipline issue.
It’s not about needing more structure or better time management.
It’s about how much your system is carrying—and whether it actually has the capacity to hold it.
A Different Way to Work With Your Energy
Most people try to fix this by cutting things out or doing less.
And while that can help, it’s not the full picture.
Because you can technically “do less”…
and still feel drained
if the underlying leaks are still there.
The shift isn’t just reduction—it’s awareness.
It’s learning to notice:
where your energy is going
what feels clean vs what feels heavy
what your body is signaling before your mind overrides it
This is where things start to change.
Not from force.
But from honesty.
Not from pressure.
But from attunement.
Where to Start
You don’t need to overhaul your life.
You need visibility.
This is exactly what I created the Energy Audit™ Workbook for.
A space to step out of autopilot and actually look at:
where your energy is being pulled
what’s no longer aligned
how your nervous system is responding
and what needs to shift to support you
Gently. Clearly. Without forcing change before you understand what’s actually happening.
Because once you can see it,
you can start to shift it.
Download the Energy Audit™ Workbook and begin uncovering the hidden places your energy is being drained so you can start finding more alignment.
The Real Inner Work: Energy, Capacity & the Way You Lead
“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” — Nikola Tesla
And you are a universe, too.
Not just metaphorically… but literally.
The way you lead, create, decide, and show up in your life and business is all happening through your energetic field.
Your nervous system.
Your capacity.
Your patterns.
Your rhythm.
This is the work.
Because no amount of strategy will override a system that doesn’t feel safe to hold what you’re calling in.
You Don’t Need More Strategy—You Need More Capacity
Most high performers don’t struggle because they don’t know what to do.
They struggle because their body can’t sustainably hold the level of growth they’re reaching for.
So what happens?
You override.
You push.
You force clarity.
You stay in motion because slowing down feels unfamiliar… or even unsafe.
And eventually, something starts to push back.
Burnout.
Indecision.
Second-guessing.
A loss of clarity.
Not because you’re doing it wrong—
but because your system is maxed out.
Your Nervous System Is Driving More Than You Think
Your nervous system isn’t just about stress or anxiety. The connection to your subsconsious - it controls the reality you see. The relationship to your fascia - signaling your muscles, your breathing and your biology to shift due to certain energies, certain traumas or certain inperceptable truths. Your body knows. Your nervous system knows.
It’s the foundation of how you experience everything:
How much success you can hold
How visible you allow yourself to be
How you navigate uncertainty
How you make decisions
How you receive (money, opportunities, support)
If your system is wired for survival, it will prioritize safety over expansion—every time.
Even if consciously, you want more.
This is why you can have the strategy, the vision, the plan…
…and still feel stuck.
Patterns Don’t Break Through Force
So many of the patterns that show up in business are actually somatic:
Over-functioning
Over-producing
People-pleasing
Avoidance
Control
Perfectionism
These aren’t mindset problems. They’re body-held patterns. And they don’t shift through more discipline.
They shift through awareness, regulation, and building safety in your system to operate differently.
The Missing Piece: Regulation + Expansion
There’s a rhythm to sustainable growth that most people skip.
We’re taught to constantly expand.
Push more. Do more. Be more.
But true growth requires both:
Regulation → Expansion → Integration
Without regulation, expansion feels unsafe.
Without integration, expansion doesn’t last.
This is why you can have breakthroughs… and then find yourself right back in old patterns.
Your system hasn’t caught up yet.
This Is Where the Work Changes
There’s a moment where the work shifts.
From doing → holding
From force → regulation
From strategy → embodiment
Where you stop asking:
“What’s the next move?”
…and start asking:
“What does my system actually have the capacity to hold right now?”
From here, everything changes.
Your decisions become clearer.
Your energy becomes more stable.
Your growth becomes sustainable.
This Is the Work We Do Together
My 1:1 mentorship is where we bring this into practice.
This isn’t surface-level strategy.
This is where we:
Recalibrate your nervous system so you can lead from clarity, not survival
Identify the patterns quietly running your decisions and shift them at the root
Expand your capacity to hold more visibility, money, responsibility, and growth
Build an operating system that actually supports the life and business you’re here to lead
We blend strategy with somatic work, energetic awareness, and real-time application.
Because you don’t just need to know what to do—
you need to be able to hold it.
A Different Way to Lead
You don’t need to burn your way to success.
You don’t need to override your body to get there.
There is a way to build, lead, and grow that feels:
Grounded.
Clear.
Sustainable.
Aligned.
But it requires a different level of awareness.
A different level of honesty.
And a willingness to do the deeper work.
If You’re Feeling This…
If you’re at a point where:
You’ve built success—but it doesn’t feel sustainable
You’re craving clarity, but everything feels noisy
You know you’re meant for more, but something isn’t clicking
You’re tired of overriding your body to keep up
This is your invitation.

6 Simple Somatic Practices to Regulate Your Nervous System
Simple tools to calm your body + mind
You don’t always need to do more to feel better.
Sometimes, what your body is asking for… is to slow down, to listen, and to gently come back into safety. That may sound like a tall task when you are feeling a trigger arise, or an elevation of stress. And it can also be really simple to give yourself support in the moment.
Your nervous system and the intelligence of your fascia is constantly responding to your environment—processing stress, stimulation, emotions, and experiences, whether you’re consciously aware of it or not.
And when it becomes dysregulated, it can show up as:
feeling anxious or on edge
brain fog or lack of clarity
burnout or exhaustion
emotional reactivity
trouble sleeping or fully relaxing
muscle pain or tension
The goal isn’t to “fix” your nervous system. And it’s also not to eliminate stress all together. Rather, the goal is to build up your internal capacity to navigate stressful moments with more ease and resources.
These 6 simple somatic practices give you some quick support to build a relationship with your body, with your fascia and your nervous system to find more calm.
Somatic practices are one of the most powerful ways to do that—because they work with the body, not just the mind.
Here are six simple, accessible practices you can start using today:
1. Box Breathing
Your breath is one of the fastest ways to communicate safety to your system.
Box breathing helps regulate your nervous system by slowing your heart rate and bringing you back into the present moment.
How to practice:
I often guide clients to find a comfortable seat for this, but you can also practice this standing. This is a gentle breathing exercise that helps bring awareness to your internal system. The consistency of the 4-breaths helps your system find support in a matter of moments.
Inhale for 4
Hold for 4
Exhale for 4
Hold for 4
Repeat for 2–5 minutes
Keep it gentle. No forcing. Let your breath guide you back to yourself.
2. Tapping
Also known as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), tapping helps regulate the nervous system by combining light touch with awareness.
It’s especially supportive when you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally activated.
This video takes you through an EFT Tapping Exercise.
How to practice:
Gently tap along points like the side of your hand, collarbone, or under your eyes
As you tap, name what you’re feeling:
“Even though I feel overwhelmed, I’m safe right now.”
You’re not trying to bypass the feeling—you’re creating space for it to move.
3. Orienting (to signal safety to your body)
When your nervous system is in a stress response, it often perceives threat—even when you’re safe.
Orienting brings you back into your environment and reminds your body: you’re okay.
How to practice:
Slowly look around the room you are in.
Notice 5 things you see
Notice 4 things you hear
Notice 3 things you can touch and their texture
Notice 2 things you smell
Let your eyes land on things that feel neutral or pleasant
Take your time here. This is about re-establishing safety through awareness.
4. Grounding Through the Body
When you feel scattered or disconnected, grounding helps bring your awareness back into your body.
How to practice:
Place one hand on your heart, one on your belly
Feel the weight of your body
Notice the rise and fall of your chest under your hand or belly (or both)
Press your feet gently into the floor
You can also lie down or sit against a wall for added support.
Let your body be felt.
5. Shaking or Free Movement
Stress isn’t just mental—it’s physiological. And this is one of my favorite practices to discharge energy…
If it doesn’t move, it stays.
Gentle shaking or intuitive movement helps release excess energy and bring your system back into balance.
How to practice:
Stand and gently shake out your arms, legs, or whole body
Or put on music and move intuitively for a few minutes (1 or 2 songs is great!)
This doesn’t need to look like anything.
Let your body lead.
6. Lengthened Exhale Breathing (to down-regulate)
If your nervous system feels activated, focusing on a longer exhale can help bring it back into a more regulated state.
How to practice:
Inhale for 4
Exhale for 6–8
Repeat for a few minutes
The longer exhale signals to your body that it’s safe to soften.
A gentle reminder
These practices aren’t about doing them perfectly.
They’re about building awareness and connection to your body.. This is an invitation to feel the aliveness in your system.
This is about noticing what your body needs—and responding with care instead of control.
Start small.
Pick one or two that resonate and integrate them into your day.
Consistency matters more than intensity.
Want to go deeper?
If you’re starting to recognize patterns of dysregulation in your body, that awareness is powerful.
And you don’t have to navigate it alone.
I created a free resource to support you in identifying where your energy is being depleted and how to begin shifting it.

7 Signs Your Nervous System Is Overstimulated (Even If You Feel “Fine”)
You can be productive, responsive, and “on top of things”… and still be deeply dysregulated.
Functioning isn’t the same as being regulated.
And for many high-performers and entrepreneurs, the ability to function inside dysregulation becomes the very thing that keeps them stuck in it.
The Misunderstanding of “Functioning”
Somewhere along the way, we started equating “I’m handling it” with “I’m okay.”
You’re getting things done.
You’re showing up.
You’re meeting expectations.
From the outside, everything looks stable—even successful.
But internally, it might feel like:
Your mind is constantly running
Your body never fully relaxes
You can’t quite land, even when things are “good”
This is what often goes unnoticed:
You’ve adapted to a level of activation that no longer feels like stress—it just feels like normal.
High-performing women are especially skilled at this.
You learn how to override signals.
Push through fatigue.
Stay mentally “on” no matter what’s happening in your body.
Over time, dysregulation becomes your baseline.
Not because it’s sustainable…
but because it’s familiar.
7 Subtle Signs Your Nervous System Is Overstimulated
These aren’t always loud or obvious.
In fact, they often hide underneath capability.
1. You feel wired—but exhausted
You’re tired, but you can’t fully power down.
Your body feels depleted, but your mind is still active—thinking, planning, looping.
It’s not just fatigue. It’s activation layered on top of exhaustion.
2. Your mind doesn’t turn off
There’s a constant stream of thoughts:
What’s next
What you forgot
What you need to handle
Even when you try to rest, your mind keeps going.
This isn’t a focus issue—it’s a regulation issue.
3. Rest feels uncomfortable or unproductive
When you finally slow down, something feels… off.
You might reach for your phone.
Start thinking about what you “should” be doing.
Or feel a subtle sense of guilt for not being productive.
Rest doesn’t feel safe—it feels unfamiliar.
4. You over-commit, then feel resentment
In the moment, you say yes easily.
You can handle it. You always do.
But later, you feel stretched, irritated, or overwhelmed.
This isn’t a time management issue—it’s a capacity awareness issue.
5. You struggle to be fully present
Even in moments that are meant to feel good, part of you is elsewhere.
Thinking ahead.
Planning.
Holding the next thing.
Your body is in one place, but your attention is split.
6. You feel urgency—but not clarity
There’s a sense that something needs your attention… now.
But you’re not always clear on what or why.
You move quickly, but it doesn’t always feel grounded.
This is activation without direction.
7. You crash when you finally stop
When you do slow down, everything hits at once.
Fatigue.
Emotions.
Sometimes even getting sick.
It’s as if your body has been waiting for permission to release.
Why This Happens
Your nervous system is designed to help you respond to stress.
But when stress becomes constant—deadlines, decisions, expectations, stimulation—it adapts.
It learns to stay in a state of activation.
At first, this can feel like productivity.
Focus.
Drive.
But over time, it becomes strain.
Instead of moving between activation and rest, your system gets stuck “on.”
And because you’ve learned how to function in that state, it doesn’t always register as a problem—until it starts to catch up with you.
This is what chronic overstimulation looks like:
High output with low recovery
Mental engagement without physical grounding
Constant input without integration
It’s not that your system is failing.
It’s that it’s been working overtime for too long.
What Actually Helps
Most people try to solve this by doing more:
Better routines
More structure
Another strategy
But regulation doesn’t come from adding more.
It starts with awareness.
Noticing:
Where your energy is going
What’s pulling on your attention
Where your capacity is being exceeded
From there, the shift becomes less about optimization—and more about support.
Regulation isn’t about slowing your life down to nothing.
It’s about creating a system where your body feels safe enough to not stay in constant activation.
Where you can move, create, and lead…
without overriding yourself in the process.
A Different Starting Point
If this feels familiar, your system isn’t broken—it’s overextended.
And before you try to fix anything, you need a clear picture of what’s actually happening beneath the surface.
The Energy Audit™ Workbook is designed to help you do exactly that.
It will guide you in identifying:
Where your energy is being drained
How your nervous system is responding
What’s no longer sustainable
And what small, grounded shifts can support you
You don’t need to push harder.
You need clarity.
Download the Energy Audit™ Workbook and start understanding what your system has been trying to tell you.
When Strategy Stops Working: Why the Next Level of Leadership Requires the Body
Hello from the future…..
By that I mean hello from Bali, Indonesia — which means I’m writing to you from a slightly different timeline.
I’ve been in Bali for a multi-disciplinary somatic training: a 300-hour Advanced Somatics & Yin Yoga Teacher Training with the incredible and revolutionary guide, Carlos Romero.
I’m about halfway through this intensive month-long retreat-meets-training. And as I write this, I’m on a well-deserved two-day break by the beach before returning to the second half of the program.
This experience has already been profound.
There have been many moments where the universe — or perhaps my higher self — has winked at me. Moments of deep clarity and expansion. Moments where insights land in the body before they fully make sense in the mind.
There have also been moments of challenge.
Moments of resistance.
Old patterns surfacing.
Edges of growth appearing unexpectedly.
This is the work.
And I find myself both deeply grateful and in awe of the journey.
Before leaving for Bali, I intentionally wrapped my last 1:1 mentorship container so I could be fully present for this training and the personal evolution it’s inviting.
And while I already had a handful of people on the waitlist for my next container, something interesting has happened during this time away.
Even more clarity has emerged about the shape of the work I offer.
The Moment Strategy Stops Working
Over the past 15+ years working with entrepreneurs, founders, and creative leaders, I’ve noticed a pattern.
Most people try to scale strategy before expanding their capacity.
More planning.
More tactics.
More productivity.
But there often comes a point where strategy alone stops working.
You may be successful on paper.
Your business may be growing.
And yet internally something feels stretched.
Your nervous system may feel overloaded.
Decisions may feel heavier.
The pace of growth may no longer feel sustainable.
This is often the moment where deeper work becomes necessary.
Because leadership does not live only in the mind.
Leadership lives in the body too.
Your nervous system shapes how you make decisions.
How you handle pressure.
How you communicate.
How much growth you can actually sustain.
Your business can only expand to the level your system can hold.
And this realization has fundamentally reshaped the work I do.
Introducing the Next Evolution of My 1:1 Work
The next iteration of my private mentorship brings together three core elements:
Strategy. Soma. Soul.
Strategy represents clarity in business, brand, and leadership.
Soma represents the body — your nervous system, your somatic awareness, and the patterns your body holds.
Soul represents the deeper energetic intelligence that informs purpose, intuition, and alignment.
Inside this container we work with your whole system.
Because a strategy that doesn’t consider the human being implementing it will always fall short.
What We Explore Together
Inside this container, our work may include:
Somatic awareness
Nervous system regulation
Energetic pattern recognition
Embodied leadership
Human Design and astrology insights
Personal alignment
Intuition development
Strategic business guidance and decision support
This is not traditional “coaching”.
In truth, I feel somewhat repelled by that word.
What I offer is mentorship.
I see my role as a guide. A sounding board. A translator between your mind, your body, and the deeper intelligence already within you.
We don’t just talk about strategy.
We explore:
What your body is holding.
What your energy is signaling.
What your intuition has to share.
What your leadership is asking for next.
Your energetic signature becomes part of the strategy.
Inside the Container
This round I’m offering up to six months of private mentorship.
Each container is deeply personalized and often include:
Personalized sessions
Channeled meditations and intuitive guidance
Somatic practices and nervous system tools
Strategic support for your business or leadership
Voice, messaging, and decision guidance
Energetic pattern awareness
Personal alignment and purpose assessment
A personalized For Your Design™ plan
Business strategy alignment and clarity
This is deep, individualized work.
What Clients Often Experience
While every client’s journey is unique, many report:
More clarity in business decisions
Greater nervous system resilience
Clearer boundaries with work, family, and clients
More aligned offers and messaging
A deeper trust in their intuition and body
Strategic action plans that feel doable
Increased personal capacity
Perhaps most importantly, many begin to recognize something new:
How the body speaks.
Intentionally Limited
I intentionally keep this container intimate.
I work with no more than four clients at a time.
This allows the work to remain deeply personalized, responsive, and attuned to each person’s individual leadership path while honoring my own personal energy and capacity to be available to hold space for my client’s transformation.
This is not a high-volume program.
It’s a mentorship relationship. Applications are now open.
Timeline
Applications are open March 13 through March 31.
Curiosity calls will take place in early April.
The next container officially begins May 1.
Receive $1,000 off your investment and a bonus 1:1 call if you sign up before April 13!
If You Feel Curious
If something in this resonates with you — if you sense that your next level of leadership may require deeper alignment between strategy, body, and energy — you’re welcome to apply.
And if there’s alignment, we’ll explore next steps on a curiosity call.
Until then, sending warm greetings from Bali.

Winter Solstice 2025: Rest, Remember, and Reclaim Your Light
The Winter Solstice marks the longest night of the year — and this is spiritually significant because it’s a sacred pause in the natural cycle where darkness reaches its peak and the return of light begins.
This is not a time for forcing clarity.
Not a time for pushing forward.
Not a time for fixing or optimizing yourself.
The Winter Solstice invites rest, reflection, and remembrance. and embracing the shadows.
It reminds us that stillness is not stagnation. That darkness is not wrong. That something essential is always forming beneath the surface — even when nothing appears to be happening.
In a world that glorifies constant motion, the Solstice is an invitation to soften your grip, come back into your body, and listen.
The Wisdom of the Shadow
I shared in The Energy Edit™ December call the reminder of the winter season: for rest. Stillness. Reflection and surrender.
This is a symbol that nature doesn’t rush this season.
Trees shed their leaves.
The earth conserves energy.
Animals hibernate.
Your nervous system craves this same permission.
The Solstice is a moment to acknowledge what this year has held — the endings, the shedding, the quiet victories, the versions of you that no longer fit.
Before the light returns, you’re invited to sit with what was.
Not to analyze it.
Not to judge it.
But to honor it.
Journal Prompts for the Winter Solstice
After your practice, allow your reflections to flow onto the page.
1. What did this year ask me to release — even when it was uncomfortable?
2. Where did I learn to trust myself more deeply this year?
3. What parts of me are asking for rest right now — physically, emotionally, energetically?
4. What feels complete, even if it didn’t look the way I expected?
5. As the light slowly returns, what energy do I want to carry forward?
Deepen the Experience: Winter Solstice Sound Healing
Sound has a unique way of bypassing the mind and speaking directly to the nervous system.
To support deeper integration, I’ve created a Winter Solstice Sound Healing Journey designed to help you:
Release residual energetic weight from the year
Settle into a state of deep rest and safety
Support reflection, completion, and gentle renewal
Align your body and energy with the returning light
You can listen during your Solstice ritual, before sleep, or anytime you feel called inward.
Access the Winter Solstice Sound Healing here.
Let the sound carry what words cannot.
My Closing Thoughts for The Winter Solstice 2025
The Solstice reminds us that light doesn’t arrive all at once.
It returns gradually.
Quietly.
Patiently.
Just like healing.
Just like integration.
Just like becoming.
You don’t need a full plan for what’s next.
You don’t need to rush into resolutions.
You don’t need to be “ready.”
You only need to stay present with yourself — and allow what’s emerging to do so in its own time.
Why Nothing Changed Until I Audited My Energy
For a long time, I thought the answer to my business “burnout” was more discipline.
More structure.
More productivity.
More pushing through.
On paper, my life looked successful. I had built businesses, hit milestones, and checked the boxes that were supposed to equal fulfillment. But internally, my body was telling a very different story.
I was tired—but wired.
Focused—but overstimulated.
Capable—but constantly on edge.
I didn’t recognize it at the time, but my nervous system was living in survival mode. And I had normalized it.
When “Drive” Is Actually Dysregulation
High-achievers don’t usually burn out because they’re lazy.
They burn out because they ignore subtle energy leaks for too long.
I did exactly that. I labeled chronic tension as ambition. I dismissed exhaustion as the cost of success. I learned how to override my body instead of listening to it.
No strategy fixed that.
What changed everything was learning how to audit my energy—to pause long enough to notice where my attention, boundaries, and nervous system capacity were being pulled in unsustainable ways.
That awareness didn’t just bring relief.
It brought clarity.
Energy Is Information
Your body is constantly communicating with you.
Through tension.
Through fatigue.
Through restlessness.
Through resistance.
None of these signals mean something is wrong with you. They mean something is asking to be seen.
When I stopped trying to “fix” myself and instead got curious about my energy, patterns began to emerge. Certain environments drained me. Certain obligations dysregulated me. Certain ways of working were no longer aligned with the season I was in.
That honesty became the foundation for real change.
Why I Created YOUR ENERGY AUDIT™
I created YOUR ENERGY AUDIT™ Workbook to offer others the starting point I wish I had sooner.
This isn’t mindset work.
It’s not a productivity hack.
And it’s not about doing more.
It’s a guided self-assessment designed to help you:
Identify where your energy is leaking
Understand how your nervous system is responding to your current life or business season
Recognize what’s no longer sustainable
Name the shifts that will support clarity, safety, and grounded momentum
The process is simple, gentle, and honest—because that’s what real regulation requires.
Who This Is For
This workbook is especially supportive if you’re a:
Founder, creative, or leader who moves fast
High-achievers who feel “off” but can’t name why
Person in transition—personally, professionally, or both
Someone who senses their next level requires less force and more attunement
You don’t need to overhaul your life.
You don’t need to push harder.
You need awareness.
A Starting Point, Not a Finish Line
Auditing your energy doesn’t mean slowing down forever.
It means moving forward from a place of truth.
Clarity comes before alignment.
Regulation comes before sustainable growth.
If something in you knows it’s time to pause and check in, this is your invitation.
YOUR ENERGY AUDIT™ Workbook is available as a free download HERE.
Listen to your body.
It’s already leading you.
The Final Full Moon of 2025 in Gemini
Reflections for the Final Full Moon of 2025
As we arrive at the last full moon of the year — a powerful Gemini moon — there’s a palpable sense of completion, integration, and clarity moving through the collective. Full moons illuminate what’s ready to be seen, but this one feels different. It carries the weight of an entire year’s worth of lessons, choices, expansions, contractions, and quiet inner evolutions.
Gemini, ruled by Mercury, governs our mind, our words, our communication patterns, the narratives we repeat, and the meanings we assign to our experiences. Under this moon, the mind becomes loud — not to overwhelm us, but to show us what still needs acknowledgment, clearing, or reframing before we cross the energetic threshold into 2026.
But unlike the mental spin we sometimes associate with Gemini, this full moon invites a deeper truth from my perspective:
Your mind is not your enemy. It’s your messenger.
Your body is not separate from your thinking. It’s your anchor.
Your intuition is not whispering — it's speaking clearly.
This is a moon that asks us to harmonize the two:
the stories we tell ourselves and the sensations that tell the real story.
Energetically, This Moon Marks a Turning Point
2025 was a powerful “9 year” — a year of endings, completions, clearing karmic patterns, and outgrowing identities that once fit but no longer do. Many people felt cycles ending, relationships shifting, careers realigning, and an inner restructuring of what “success,” “safety,” and “purpose” truly mean.
This full moon acts as the final release valve of that cycle.
As we prepare for 2026 — a “1 year,” a year of new beginnings — Gemini’s air energy helps us sort through:
what thoughts, beliefs, and patterns cannot come with us
which old versions of ourselves we’ve quietly closed the chapter on
what truths we’re finally ready to say out loud
what our intuition has been communicating all along
This is a moon that supports revelation.
A moon that clears static.
A moon that says: “You know now. Trust what you know.”
Somatic Lens
I sat with the energy of this moon from a somatic sense. Gemini energy lives in mind and thoughts… yet that energy touches every aspect of the body…. The arms, hands, shoulders, lungs, and breath — all areas connected to movement, expression, and the capacity to take things in and let things go.
Pause for a moment and notice:
How is your breath today?
Do your shoulders feel open or guarded?
Does your chest feel spacious, tight, easeful, or activated?
What sensations arise when you say, “This year is complete”?
This moon reminds us that the stories we tell ourselves aren’t just mental — they live in the body. When we shift the internal narrative, we shift our physiology. And when we release the emotional residue of the year, we create real capacity to step into something new.
A simple practice for tonight:
Place a hand on your chest and one on your belly.
Inhale through your nose, exhale through your mouth.
Then whisper:
“I release the stories that no longer belong to me.”
Let your body feel that. Notice how it feels to sink into that senstation.
Journal Prompts for the Full Moon in Gemini
What stories from 2025 am I ready to release or rewrite?
What areas did I outgrow versions of myself this year?
What truths have surfaced for me this year that I can no longer ignore?
What has my intuition been communicating to me consistently — even when I tried not to listen?
What conversations, boundaries, or expressions feel important as I move into 2026?
What version of myself am I closing the chapter on with gratitude?
What am I taking with me?
Where do I feel mental clutter or energetic noise?
What would it feel like to set it down?
Who am I becoming — and what beliefs does that future version of me hold?
What is my body telling me tonight that my mind may have missed?
This final full moon of 2025 is an invitation to honor the winding road that brought you here — every pivot, every release, every moment your intuition whispered “this is no longer aligned,” and every courageous step you took because you knew there was more for you.
Let this moon be a marker of completion.
Let it clear the static.
Let it open the channel for what’s next.
And as you step into 2026, allow this truth to land:
You’re not starting from scratch — you’re starting from wisdom and new beginnings energy awaits us….
Why the Best Time to Restructure Your Business Isn’t January — It’s Right Now
Most people slow down during the holiday season.
But truthfully? This has always been my favorite time to start something new.
We tend to wait for the “perfect moment” — a new year, a Monday, a fresh planner, a clean slate — to make a change. But the biggest shifts in my life and in my clients’ businesses have never come from waiting. They’ve come from starting right where we are.
Over the past few years, my work and my life have evolved in powerful ways. While I’ve expanded deeper into somatics, intuitive leadership, yoga, sound, and embodied wellbeing… I’ve also continued supporting select founders and teams behind the scenes through private consulting. Quietly. Intentionally. Helping people operate with more clarity, stability, and ease.
That personal evolution has mirrored my professional one. As I’ve shifted, I’ve also taken action during times when most people are slowing down. Because momentum builds when we move in alignment — not when the calendar tells us to.
Lately, starting where I’m at has looked like:
• Beginning a new workout routine because my body always reveals the truth before my mind
• Exploring hobbies and wellbeing practices that pull me into creativity and presence
• Trying on new ways of being that feel more aligned with the woman I’m becoming
• Building and releasing new business offers that merge strategy, somatics, and intuitive leadership
These small, aligned beginnings create the kind of momentum that carries you into the next year with clarity, confidence, and grounded direction.
And the same is true for your business.
There is no perfect moment.
There is only the moment you choose to step into.
As I wrap several private consulting engagements this fall, I’m opening ONE spot for a short-term consulting partnership — a structured 3-month container running December through February — for founders, CEOs, and marketing leaders who want to start 2026 with more alignment, less chaos, and a stronger foundation.
This container is designed for leaders who want to:
• Clean up their marketing and business ecosystem
• Streamline systems and workflows to eliminate friction and burnout
• Integrate AI in strategic, supportive, non-overwhelming ways
• Strengthen communication rhythms and leadership clarity
• Support team wellbeing and nervous system capacity
• Establish a clear roadmap for brand, content, and operational performance
Inside this 3-month engagement, you’ll receive:
• A deep-dive audit of your marketing, messaging, automations, funnels, and operations
• Systems + workflow optimization recommendations
• A tailored AI tool stack + customized SOPs
• High-level brand and content strategy refinement
• Three monthly 1:1 strategy sessions + ongoing async support
• A final roadmap that positions your team for success in Q2 2026 and beyond
Clients often walk away with:
• Reduced team overwhelm and cleaner communication
• A streamlined, intuitive marketing ecosystem
• AI tools that enhance productivity instead of creating confusion
• A more aligned brand and content direction
• Systems that feel easier, lighter, and more sustainable
• A roadmap that makes the next 12–18 months feel manageable
If your business is growing… if your team feels stretched… or if you’re tired of operating in reactive mode, now is the time to make the shift — not January, not “someday.”
This is the moment you choose to step forward.
If you’re feeling the nudge to start something new in your business as we head into 2026 — a clean slate, a refined strategy, a stronger system — I’d love to support you.
I’m meeting with potential partners this week.
If you want the details, send me a message here!
Let’s get you aligned, organized, and ready for what’s next.
